We are Alejandra and David, a Valencian and a Catalan who met in Ibiza in August 2010, during my vacation with friends. Although we met several times that week, upon returning to our cities we lost contact, since social networks did not yet exist and we communicated by calls or text messages.
The following spring, I discovered a new mobile app called WhatsApp, and that's when David messaged me after seeing me online. This rekindled our connection and, coincidentally, that same week, some friends organized a trip to Barcelona and invited me. I took this as a sign and took the opportunity to reconnect with David.
From that moment on, we began to see each other monthly, alternating visits to Barcelona and Valencia. However, I was 21 years old and planning Erasmus in Berlin for September. Despite our good relationship, I was not willing to change my plans. Even so, before my departure, we decided to formalize our relationship.
Today, we have two beautiful girls, Adriana and Daniela, and we live in Barcelona. David proposed to me on February 14, 2022, at home with the girls. He prepared meaningful photos from each year we had been together, including the birth of our daughters, and when the last photo brought by our girls arrived, he got down on one knee, pulled out a beautiful ring, and asked me to marry him.
From that moment, we began to organize our wedding and search for the dress. I found out about Otaduy through a friend and when I walked through the door of the Atelier it was clear to me that it was going to be the brand with which I would dress on one of the most emotional days of my life.
Otaduy for me represents simplicity, delicacy, personality and elegance. I felt very identified and comfortable with all the designs I tried on that afternoon, without a doubt it was clear to me that it had to be there. For me it was very important not to feel dressed up, I wanted to be comfortable and be myself without having to give up feeling like a princess.
When I finally decided on my dress, I proposed to Otaduy to create two miniature replicas for my 3 and 6 year old daughters, who are very important to us. David was not involved in this process, it was a surprise to our family and friends, and also to him.
The selection process and the tests with Mireia and the dressmakers was a dream. It was all so easy and always with a smile making me feel calm and at home.
It was beautiful to make two custom dresses for my daughters and see the excitement on their faces as they dressed like princesses. They enjoyed it very much and kept the secret until the wedding day.
On June 17, 2023, my wedding day, everything went perfectly. It is one of the most special moments of my life, we were able to enjoy the company of the people we love.
The dress turned out to be perfect. I opted for the Brigitte dress and the Harlow cape .
I was super comfortable all night without having to worry about anything since the Otaduy team took care of every detail until the last day so that both the dress and the cape were perfect.
I would choose Otaduy again a thousand times.
